can you remind me how to get the little hand appearing on a button that has “No Action”. Before I used to make it “Execute …” and put some code in the action but this does not always work, especially if the button is in a subform.

Buttons with No Action is obviously buttons as graphical elements and not button.

We used to use them back in the day as containers and inverted them to look like they where going into the form.

In these cases you obviously did't want it to behave like a button with the little hand etc.

However then enters OML and buttons with No Action but a lot of OML action enter the playing field.

So what you want is an action that is No Action ;-)

Simply choose Execute Derivation and choose a valid "No Action" derivation like ""

You can even use "Duncan was here!" ;-)
