I was modifying one of my reports and introduced a fault I can't solve. I think what happened is that I inadvertently inserted s Page Footer that was not needed. As a result, when I print the report there is about a third of a page of white space between the column headings and where the data entries are listed. When viewing the report on screen, there is a red dashed line across the screen just above the data entries. Do you think I've analyzed the problem correctly? I've searched through the Data Ease help screens but can't find anything related to getting rid of an unwanted Page Footer. Can you provide any advice on how I can solve this problem? Any advice you could provide would be much appreciated.

7.1 is a very old version and it is wrought with bugs.

You were entitled to a free upgrade to 7.2 once upon a time, which is much better and more bug free.

Your problem is more likely to be related to a page header than a footer as it is before the text.

both footers and headers size automatically so if they are empty they should not affect the output.

However I can’t exclude the possibility that there is a bug with this in 7.1 .
