I am using DataEase 7.2. Not lots of experience dealing with the maintenance of this software. 

I want to create a button where the data in orange column on the left, at a click of a button can copy and overwrite the orange column on the right.

What you try to do here is not straight forward but quite easy from DE8 onwards.

It is possible in DE7 to but then you have to do it OML.

Look at the sample.
