Nigerian Institute for Oceanography

The Nigerian Institute for Oceanography is a research institution based in Lagos, Nigeria. The institute is involved in researching the ocean, fish and fisheries products, aquaculture and other related aspects of fisheries. The Institute also offers consultancy services.

Patrick Ighive, the chief data processing officer at the Nigerian Institute for Oceanography & Marine Research has been using DataEase since 1990. During this period he has created a number of applications to handle some of the Institute's business activities. Patrick Ighive explains: "I have created and fine tuned a personnel application that is sector-independent and can be used by organisations big and small." Patrick has also developed voucher and pensions applications as well as a match making database. He is currently developing an Accounts system.
