This is the fist WebField, but still rather powerful.

The WebField Text, is based on a normal DataEase text field, and the expected content of the text field is a URL. (This can be a file path to a document etc...)

When activated the WebField will try to execute the URL and display the content. Needless to say, the URL can be derived, and hence you can get any result you like.

If this function is used in combination with DG3 for instance (you will later you know), you can manipulate the result DG3 give you via the url. ex. http://www.dataease.com/DG3_BlogList/?ParentID=0000000006

This URL will display the record with ParentID=6 in our blog, if I am not mistaken that is CHR()

The usage of this functionality is limitless...
