The built in Printer Engine in LegEasy4DOS is tuned to the standard DOS matrix printer of DataEase for DOS  which is Epson MX80.

Epson MX80 is compatible with IBM Proprinter.

So when running print jobs in LegEasy4DOS simply make sure you have configured that print job to be formatted according to this.

PS! There is ways to print directly to any printer like HP Laserjet etc (Raw mode) but that is for a different blog post.

If you print with the wrong printer set up in DFD you will get a lot of weird codes in your printer if you have used any of the built in commands like Bold etc.

The Epson MX80 definition in your DFD should contain all the necessary commands to do the normal stuff for Bold, Underline, Italics and different font sizes (see above).
