Receiving error 597:3e3   QA Report internal error when trying to make a new database in v4.53 (dos).  Also unable to open existing databases with error:  "User directory open error".  I am unsure if these issues are related.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Somehow this one slipped through the web..

The problem is related to Daylight Saving time. A tampering protection on the user file is the time stamp that need to be PI i.e. 3:14:00 but depending on when it was installed it will become 4:14 or 2:14 and hence illegal and give the problems you mention.

If you search this forum you will find ways to fix it with time stamp tools etc.
