HI, I am getting this message when I try to start DataEase for Windows 5.5 on my computer (GERMAN Windows).

The missing files are: DERES.GER

DERESDLG.GER

for the DateEase-Version:

DataEase for Windows 5.5

UI Build Number: 1013

Prism Build Number: 133

It would be very helpful if you can sent me these files.

In DataEase 5.x there was national versions in some countries.

I don’t know if there was in Germany, but anyhow we don’t have them.

The problem is that when you run DFW 5.x on a german Windows it will report language version 6 which DataEase then interprets as reading the national language files for Germany i.e. (*.GER)

The simple fix is to go into DATAEASE.INI on your computer and change language code for ger from 6 to 3 (ENG/UK/US)
