I have a primary form (Card1) when I lookup/review/modify a record then clear the screen (F5) it brings up the very first record entered in this form.  What I want it to do is after I lookup/review/modify and when I clear (F5) the screen that the screen is blank and ready to lookup or add a new record.  Any thoughts?

This has been default functionality since 7.0.

Just tested and it was/is not like this in 6.x

Why it is like this I am not sure. The solution is to hit F5 twice.

I will forward this to the development team and see if they can give me/us a sensible answer.

Have always used F5 to Clear Form from the days of DOS through to LegEasy 6.53.

Just started using 8.5.1.2674 and noticed the same, even if you put Clear Form on a button. Thought it was me doing something wrong.

I guess as this "problem" has been there for so long - 12 years - everyone has just gotten used to it.

We can't see any "benefit" of this bug so we have put it on the list of fixes for the upcoming version.

Thank you for pointing it out and making it so obvious that there is no upside to this feature.
