User having a Start-up document, prevents the use of F1-F12 keys and Alt,F,O (as needed by the Demacro.dll CDF)
User having a Start-up document, prevents the use of F1-F12 keys and Alt,F,O (as needed by the Demacro.dll CDF)
Why are users, or to be more precise CDFs prevented from using key strokes such as; Ctrl+F5, or the combination of Alt, F, O to select and Open a document, if the user has entered the application via a Start-up document (as defined in their user information), even if their Security Level is High? However, If the same user doesn't have a Start-up document, but selects it from the Catalog, CDFs can then use key strokes such as; Alt, F, O to select and Open a document. It's just that my application uses CDFs (Demacro.dll in particular), which needs the Function Keys (F1-F12) and the likes of Alt, F, O to work, and I don't really want users to need to access the Catalog.
Many thanks in anticipation of your kind and very much appreciated assistance.
Cheers
Ian White

We have tested this is DE85, but you have said that this is related to 7.x.
We don't test features in 7.x as we cannot repair any problems in outdated versions.
As you can see from the picture, it works fine in 8.5 and we have tested it both in Runtime and Developer.
