We've had a successful migration from 6.5x to 8.5, and are testing.  Overall, it's performing very well.  EXCEPT that we can't print anything.  We have  many procedures that send results to the printer - sometimes directly, sometimes with a choice screen first.  Nothing prints.  The error message is :

Physical page size exceeded. Please check header, footer, or margins.

There is nothing odd about the page layouts.  The message is the same, for every printer so far checked on our network.  Screen shots print just fine.  How do we fix this?  I found nothing helpful when I searched the forum.

What you describe bring back some old memories and we are really sorry that you have had to struggle with this.

I suspect you are using an outdated version of 8.5 as this is quite an old problem that is fixed a long time ago.

It is related to header/footers in reports that that is out sized (2x1 meters).

They have always been this and is supposed to be Sized to fit in real-time but this went wrong when we changed how these objects are treated in FORMS.

I won't bore you with any long explanation but this was only around in a couple of minor updated and then fixed so the solution is simply to update your DataEase version.

Make sure you update all computers to the same version!

If you have limittations on use of version etc, the problem can be fixed individually in affected reports by setting size to fit on Headers/footers.
