When i select folder database is in Application name not appearing

trying to open a database,  in a folder application name not appearing. Folder is not missing any files,  please help

My guess is that the RDRR file is corrupted in some way or it is the wrong version.

Can you open the application from command line i.e.

DataEase Path Appname etc.

Thank you truly appreciate your help,  RDR file was missing the database name at the beginning for some reason, will take frequent backups from now on.

You can edit it in Hex edit but if the name is gone there is danger that something else is gone wrong too.

If you have an old working version and a the new one you can open both RDRR files in Hexedit and compare. Then you can copy over from the old one the stuff with the name. 

Don't do all the changes as there is also information on how many tables you have and how many deleted tables etc..
