When a customer runs the procedure CTLSEARCHBYREF, which only has one command "run procedure REPSEARCHBYREF", they are often getting the error "#1 Ref2: Rule Violation".

Have you any idea why this is happening and what the rule might be that is violated?

This is a Validation violation in a field affected/derrived/updated by the DQL.
