Insufficient Access Privileges?

What causes this "Insufficient Access Privileges" error when trying to delete some documents.
User logon has "High" security level
Randomly some forms & QBM's give this error and cannot be deleted.

Re:Insufficient Access Privileges?

Lack of delete rights on directory normally. DataEase need full rights, not only R/W

Re:Re:Insufficient Access Privileges?

Windows server Logon user is the user that created the DE folder and has full access and admin rights.

The message is a DE msg - not Win API.
The message only occurs with some forms/QBM's and also randomly occurs with recently installed forms that can be opened / edited/

Re:Re:Re:Re:Insufficient Access Privileges?

Although there are exceptions the most common reason found for this is where forms/ QBMS or DQL's contain objects or references to tables thatf that no longer.

This is a very old app that is being migrated which has had many changes over the years including tables being removed without dependent forms being updated or removed.

For docs that allow designer view opening the missing table reference can be removed, the doc saved and then deleted.

if designer view cannot be opened there is no option - even doc DIW script import does not remove the doc.

Any other way of deleting docs?
