I am doing a legacy app retrospective for my development group at NYC Transit. "My" application started life about 30 years ago in DataEase, is now in Oracle, and is winding down, being replaced by another application. I actually have all my DE code / documentation / menus / reports / forms / etc. BUT what I don't have is ... screen shots!! BECAUSE 30 years ago, it was hard to GET screen shots!

So ... I want to dummy up a few screens (e.g., the original main menu, a data-entry menu, a reports menu) ... but I need a sample of ANY menu so I can kinda-sorta copy its layout, of course using my own text.

Could someone / a few folks ... reply with a menu screen shot? The old text on black style? This would be very helpful to me. What would you get in return? Well, I could buy you a drink if you come to NYC, offer some free subway / bus rides, or a marginal tour, depending.

Thank you for the nice story but I think we can do you one better.

Just download the LegEasy for Dos on here and set up a DE 4.53 session and play to your hearts content in remaking your dummy menus in the real deal. You have a 30 day free trial which should give you all the screenshots you want. If you need it for longer just let us know and we can extend it.

I cannot easily download the software and use it here at work, very complicated environ.
First off, would it run on (a) Win 7 PC? (b) Win 10 laptop, (c) Win 2019 or 2022 server (in a session, not shared)? ... I do have control of my servers, and maybe could try that.
