We have had a number of clients that has had problems getting LegEasy4DOS to work.

The problem has turned out to be that they have kept the application(s) in the same catalogue as their old DataEase for DOS.

This works fine when you run DataEase for DOS but as LegEasy4DOS and DataEase for DOS share many of the same support files it will confuse LegEasy4DOS.

To avoid this problem move your applications to separate catalogues i.e. no more than one Application in each catalogue. The best way of doing this is to perform a backup and restore to new location of each application prior to moving to LegEasy4DOS.

If you don't have the ability to do the above an alternative solution is to delete all the DataEase for DOS program files from your new Application Catalogue.

This means all:
*.MSG
*.COM
*.OVL
*.EXE
*.INI
