Floating Currency Symbols

Is it possible to have a floating currency symbol associated with a numeric field such that the field will display £0.00 or £345.67 etc depending upon the numeric value?

This is rather than showing the currency symbol separately and sometimes some distance from the value it refers to or at best having the value shown next to the currency symbol but now not lined up nicely with the numbers above it.

If this was to be done properly it would need to be a change to the Currency field in DataEase so one could opt for it to display with the Windows Currency symbol.

I think with the hefty development plan we are already executing it won't be a priority.

You can of course do it with numeric string, but that would be awkward as you would have to predefine the max number of digits and you would also have leading 000s...

Display wise it would be easy to do with trickery but when you edited the field it would have to be without the £.

The sample above will show it can be done, but it is way to awkward to be used in practice, but if one desperately want it...it can be done!
