Change Style on all the tables in the DB

There's a way to change the style on all the tables of the DB? I've changed the style into the application preferences but it will applied only when I create a new table and not on all the tables installed on the DB. I have to change it manually on every table? (:-( Thanks.

Re:Change Style on all the tables in the DB

Styles in DFWworks the following way.

1. The best way to restyle all forms with the same style is to re-define the existing style. If you have created a new style called something else, simply save it with the same name as the existing style in the app and copy the .sty file to the app. Make sure the existing .sty file with the same stylename is removed from the app.

2. If you save a style in your app called default this will override the default that comes with DFW.

3. Make sure that all the styled objects in the style is correctly named and styled in the "new" style. If an object previously styled in a form does not have a corresponding style in the new one, the styling will be removed.

Re:Change Style on all the tables in the DB

I have initially crete a db with STYLE=none so I don't have any file with .STY into the directory. I try to create a new style with name=default and put it into application preferences but nothing happened. How can I do now?

Re:Re:Change Style on all the tables in the DB

Styling is done on each object. If you create a form/Table from Style NONE it means no Style.

Styling is a inheritance hierarchy, so if an object is not styled it is not styled and hence it cannot inhert a style later.

You have to give the object a style, and then when you change that style later, all object with the same style will change.

An object in DFW can be either styled or it can be "styled" individually by setting colours/fonts etc. If you do the latter it will automatically lose the style connection and it will forever look the way you manually styled it.

I am sorry but you can't have your cake and eat it too... When you use a style, the way to change a look of an object is to change the style or style it with another style, manual styling with disable this option.
