Hallo Dataease forum,

i have found out that if i develop an Form with a memo HTML field in the DE8.2 developer version (latest)

and than i start the same form in DE8.2 group (latest) that the memo HTML field has no funktion!

I am not sure  > is it a development problem or software release problem ?

There is a problem with the HTML field in the later versions of 8.2 This is fixed in 8.5.

The fix in 8.2 is simply to copy the entire HTML catalogue from 8.2 Full to 8.2 Group.

You find the HTML catalogue on the root of DataEase 8.2 and 8.2 Group.

thank you for this Information. I have made the copy you described from DE 8.2 (8.2.0.1700) to DE 8.2 Group.

But it seems that the same problem keeps there! If i open the form with the HTML Field in it i can see only a White

field with no Action. In DE 8.2 Developer it works.

Sorry for the late feedback. 

This has been put on the fix list of the release team and as they are very busy it has been taking some time.

They have now finally had time to have a look and it is very strange, but your headline is correct.

The problem is really that the name of the Executable in GROUP is degroup.exe when it in Full DataEase is dataease.exe.

If you rename it to dataease.exe it will work in group too...

Yes, it sounds unbelievable.

We will fix it so DEGROUP can keep its name, but as a quick fix the above is the solution.

New 8.5 Group released today.

This is not the final version of 8.5 but we have decided to release a GROUP version as there is plenty of customers that already run 8.5 applications in production and with the problems with 8.2 group it makes sense to simply slipstream the GROUP so everyone can get up to scratch.
