Re:Domain error
Is this in one particular form or in general?
Only idea we have is that it has something to do with SQL.
No Domain in DataEase.
Re:Domain error
Hi
From where does this error crop from....procedure, form?
What is dataease supposed to do when this error is displayed?
kind regards
Josef

what is pow ? -
Re:Re:Domain error
This has nothing to do with (network) domains, you would first expect with a product as DE.
pow = to the power, a mathematical function.
Domain error means a parameter to this function is out of scope.
Would be a logic error in computing a floating point value.
Re:Re:Re:Domain error
This product is over 40 years old so the person that can answer this is most likely 80 or worse....
Re:Re:Re:Domain error
Sorry Jos. You are obviously not 80 ;-).
Thanks for enlighten us inferior beings. My guess was also that it was something inside DFD that didn't like its current diet of modern OS etc rather than this being a "user" error that they could do something about.
Without knowing it specifically my guess is that this is related to the awkward memory extender in DFD or some resources that is not configured properly or couldn't be configured properly.

I've started with DE 2.53RU since 1989 ;) data-entry form in DQL was that feature attracted my attention hypnotically ... It is hard to recollect what is domain in DE sense now. But I have inner feeling that thing means something different from ...
Re:Re:Re:Re:Domain error
I plan to switch my ancient pc with 16M SIMM memory onboard and get domain error inside DE 4.53 working on pure MS-DOS not LegEasy 4 ;) I recall that situation btw ;)
