To heavy for this forum!

Hi.
Something must have gone wrong because there is no text and the heading is "klingon".

From the attachment we can deduct that you get a GPF for some reason.

GPF is basically a OS message because the software as addressed an illegal address. The reason for this can be anything and not something that anyone can figure out without working with the application.

We understand the frustration when you get a problem like this, but your form and what you try to do is quite complex so it is not the right place to seek help.

You are the person that is in the best position to figure this out as you know what you did when it occurred, reverse this and see if things go back to normal.

For anyone but you to fix this will take a lot of work and one would need the application to test on. We don't offer that kind of free service, and neither do we think that you can within reason expect anyone of the other users to be able to set aside the time to do this for you.

This is not a support forum, but a user forum where people actually can share methods and ideas as well as post problems.

Hello, Thank you for the courtesy extended in replying to my post. Indeed something must have gone pear shaped as I did not recognised the heading myself perhaps due to the lack of knowledge of the “Klingon” language. However, the form is not by far too complex and having just solved the GPF issue that I had, is processing the receipts as intended without any changes to the form structure itself . Warm Regards Luigi

Hi again Luigi.

Of course your form is not to complex, but the problem is too complex for the forum. It demands that the person that is going to help you need to debug your application, which is more than one can "demand" from a forum.

We are glad that you figured out what caused the GPF which proves our point ;-) You are the only person to figure it out as you know what you have been doing and it what order.

Could we be as fresh as to enquire what it was that caused the GPF ?

When it comes to the problem with entering data on the forum.

Do you by any chance do this from inside DataEase 8.5 i.e. in the catalogue version of the forum? If you do make sure that you have the latest version of IE on your computer as this object is a IE Plugin and if your IE is not updated it might cause problems like this.

See above. You should at least have IE 9 with JavaScript Enabled!
